ABOUT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy is a regulated health profession which helps clients engage in their valued activities (or occupations). These activities can vary widely from brushing your teeth to paying your taxes, hammering in a nail to returning to work, managing symptoms to organizing your days. Occupational therapists work with clients to identify their valued activities, and then find ways to overcome the barriers preventing participation through improving client abilities, modifying the activity or modifying the environment.
